Mugen Rokuro

Mugen Rokuro (insert stupid pronunciation here) is a Solar Exalted character of the Dawn caste in the (upcoming) Exalted game. He knows swords; he has the best swords.

Background

Mugen Rokuro was born in (INSERT VILLAGE HERE). Early in his life, his mother passed away, and distraught over his wife's passing Mugen's father left the family. Abandonded, Rokuro found kindness in the form of an old swordsman, who took pity on the child and took him under his wing. Together, they formed the (SOMETHING SOMETHING) School of Swordsmen. Life is good, until one day a man appears, claiming to know all there is to know about fighting with swords. Rokuro is infuriated, but his mentor tells him he will handle this. The stranger and the mentor fight, and Mugen's mentor is beaten handedly. Mugen rushes to his mentor's side, and immediately challenges the stranger for vindication. Laughing, the stranger accepts, and beats the young boy to within an inch of his life.

Rokuro is taken back to safety and nursed back to health. Every night he stirs in his sleep, his frustrations manifesting into dreams of revenge. He quickly resolves that he must uphold the honor of his school, and become the best swordsman in all Creation; then he will be able to defeat this stranger and banish his influence. In the dead of night, once Rokuro was nearly healed, he snuck out of his mentor's home - stealing his precious First Age sword with him - to set out on his quest.

He headed first to Nexus, taking odd jobs while he healed and finding out information on possible leads to find a teacher/opponent suitable for his needs. While working as a dishwasher at a local pub, Rokuro heard of the rumors coming down from the north; the stories of the Great Bull of the North, an impossibly strong warrior, uniting the Northern Tribes. This seemed like the perfect target for Mugen, and so with the little money he had saved up during his times in the city, purchased a small boat and sailed north in search of the Bull.
