AC-7817 'Bril'

AC-7817, better known as Bril is an Arkanian Offshot Runaway Slave/Spy with no recollection of his origins. Eventually he came into contact with a forming Rebel cell, and took assignment on Coruscant. It was there he was captured and discovered his force sensitivity.

Background

Origins

In Bril’s earliest memories he was already a slave to a Trandoshan Slaver named Jaastk. He always remembers having his strange tattoos. There is the odd glyph across his right bicep and the serial number AC-7817 on his shoulder.

As an Arkanian Offshoot, he is not purely Arkanian. Since his eyes have pupils, and his hands have five fingers, he assumes some human DNA. His pointed ears suggest he part Selphi,

His master kept him with droids on his ship, having him both program and repair them. Since he spent more time with droids than living things, he treats droids as sentients and is supportive of droid rights.

Escape and Rebel Rising

During a stay on Nar Shaada during his late teens he escaped from his master. Originally he struggled to survive on the streets, but soon discovered his talents for stealth, thieving.

He joined a small band of escaped slaves who slowly grew into a rebel cell. They originally acted to free others slaves by any means, even violent ones, if necessary. A couple Twi’leks in the group named him “Bril”, the Twi’leki for “wind” due to his stealthy nature.

Eventually their cell was betrayed from within, and he was given back to Jaastk. This betrayal left Bril guarded and slow to trust newcomers. However, after a few months the remaining members from the rebel group and rescued him, leading back to a life of rebellion.

The cell occasionally got orders from mysterious people up the rebel chain of command. These usually involved either him going undercover, sneaking in, or surveillance.

Eventually the rebel cell had enough new recruits from the streets of Nar Shaada that some unknown higher ups requested members for undercover spy missions elsewhere. He volunteered and was assigned to Coruscant and a crappy apartment thousands of levels down. It was in the underground he discovered his Force Sensitivity.

It was not no long however, that he fell into an Inquisitor’s trap. He tried to go down fighting, hoping to die rather than be tortured into giving away information, but he was stunned. He awoke in a cold dark room…..

Motivations and Desires

Spending more time with the group, and landing on the Bulwark, he has embraced becoming a Jedi. His ideal is to use the force to excel at spycraft....though with this group he knows he will want to be able to fight when things go sidewise.

As credits come in, or chances to get equipment, present themselves, Bril will want to get gear for cloak and dagger activities. Of course being such a fan of droids, he misses them and will want some companions.

The Campaign

Awaking in the prison room, Bril gained his bearings. He immediately looked for a way to end himself to avoid interrogation, but when another prisoner randomly burst down his cell door, escape became an option. While normally slow-to-trust, Bril recognized he had not choice but to go with the fellow prisoners and the rebel commandos coming to “rescue” them.

As they journeyed across Devaron, Bril came to realize that his fellow Force Sensitive prisoners would make powerful Agents/Warriors against the Empire. This led him to stay with the group, though his trust of them only slowly grows.

Bril's suspicions of the General are calmed by his support of the would-be-Jedi's, and Bril is more than willing to help save Grux from the grip of the Empire.

His sorrow at the death of Scimitar and the Rebel cell, and desire for vengeance, is only held in place by the revelation of a possible super weapon.

After his experience in the vision of being as Jedi Master, the way of the Jedi appeals to him more. He unleashes his new potential to help bring down the Shadowman, giving the runaway slave something he had not felt ever...powerful.

The Year Hiatus

After being a powerless slave, the lightsaber has given Bril an experience never felt before...being powerful.

First flying the Shadowman’s ship, he searches it for any spy gear. After everything settles down, he dedicates most of his time to learning Ataru via the Holocron. The ethos of striking hard and fast to end a fight quickly resonantes with the spy. Bril spends much time meditating on his crystal, and mods it to be stronger. He also discovers from the Holocron the lightsaber variant the broadsaber, which he modifies his hilt to be. The more blade-like version appeals to his understanding and practice of Ataru. His seeks out Thisspiasian Stabilizing Coils as well, wanting to ensure his lightsaber strikes are surgically accurate.

In between study sessions, he goes on missions for the Rebellion to keep honing his spycraft and support the cause. He grows closer to the general’s cell, and others, gaining both contacts and some more spy equipment. He continues also to work on his droid W1L5N, more or less tinkering him to become a RMD-20 Eye in the sky to help with surveillance in the future.

After watching so many people run away from the party...he realizes the Force could quickly end that as well. He studies the Holocron to find the mysteries of Force Bind. Holding foes in place to prevent them from fighting seems like an excellent addition to his set of skills.

After months of training, he saw a lesson from the Holocron about knowing himself. He took his droid, a ship, and anyone who would want to go with, on a quest to find out who he is, where he is from, what sort of lab cloned him, what DNA he was cloned from, etc.
